Industrial action will take place at airports and ports throughout the United Kingdom (UK) on 1 February 2023. The strike action will last until 7am Thursday 2 February.
Members of the Public and Commercial Services (PCS) union voted for strike action to take place on 1 February. Up to 100,000 civil service staff could take part in strike action. A number of different government departments will be impacted by the industrial action, including UK Border Force.
The industrial action is likely to impact the movement of goods through UK ports and airports on 1 February. There may also be delays and disruption at Inland Border Facilities (IBFs). You can also check IBF site availability online.
Some disruption is also anticipated on the morning of 2 February as business returns to normal.
