Excess Baggage Collections from Leeds and Bradford
Collection is free from Leeds/Bradford. We collect from these areas with our own drivers and vans each day Monday - Friday. They will weigh and measure your packages in your home and are usually able to calculate the exact cost for you at the same time. You then have the various payment options 1, 2 and 3 as outlined below.
Excess Baggage Collections from cities and towns in Yorkshire, Lancashire, Merseyside & the North East
We have a regular collection service (usually at least once per week) from these areas using our own drivers and vans. The collection charge is £30.00. You are advised to book the collection in advance and we can tell you when our vehicle is next in your area. He will weigh and measure the packages on collection as is usually able to calculate the cost at the same time. You are then able to pay using methods 1, 2 and 3 as outlined below.
If you are not available when a Tudor driver is in your area then we can collect on a day suitable to yourself using our collection partner as outlined below for the rest of the UK.
Excess Baggage Collections from the rest of mainland UK
We have daily collections (Mon-Fri) from the rest of the UK. These collections are made using our collection partner and it will not be a Tudor driver or van. The collection charge is £30.00. You must be available from 12 noon until 5pm on the agreed collection date. The packages must be on the ground floor waiting for the driver. The driver will simply collect your packages without weighing or measuring them. Do not give him any payment or documentation. We will receive the packages the following working day and it is then that they are weighed and measured and the price calculated. We will then call or email you with the final cost and you can arrange payment using methods 2 or 3 as outlined below.
Please note, collections from some rural areas (e.g. Scottish Highlands) are subject to a £45.00 collection surcharge in addition to the above costs.
How to Pay for your excess baggage shipment
- Cash or credit/debit card on collection. This is only possible when the collection has been made by one of our own drivers. He will leave a receipt.
- Via our Secure Online Payment Facility using your unique payment code (UPC)
- Directly into our bank account by cash deposit or bank transfer. If you are making an international bank transfer then you must pay all charges related to this transfer. We must receive the full amount into our bank account. In all cases you must notify us when you have made a payment into our account or we will not be aware that you have paid.
Please have the appropriate method of payment ready on collection. You can make payment by cash into our bank account, by cheque, or online through our website. In some cases you will be able to pay the driver cash on collection or by debit or credit card. All cheques must clear before your freight can be dispatched.

General rules for excess baggage collections
In areas where there is no collection charge you receive only one free collection per shipment. Subsequent collections are subject to a collection fee. Ask for more details.
All items (unless previously arranged) must be packed and ready to leave before the driver arrives.
Each package should be clearly marked with the name and address of the consignee at the destination.
All packages must be sealed or locked including suitcases/holdalls etc.
No single package should weigh more than 30 kgs (unless the contents are a single large item e.g. television/fridge etc) unless previously arranged.
Wherever possible, clients should have their packages waiting for the driver on the ground floor before he arrives. It is often impractical for the driver to leave their vehicle unattended and come to your flat to collect. On these occasions we are grateful for your assistance.
All delivery/collection times provided by us are approximate only. Please allow sufficient time either side of your booking period as it is possible that the driver may arrive earlier or later than the expected delivery/collection time due to unforeseen circumstances.
