Sea freight is usually better suited to heavier or less urgent cargo and can take around 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the route and destination port. Road freight for UK and European movements take around 1 to 7 days.

How is the cost of shipping freight calculated?

Freight costs depend on the mode, chargeable weight or volume, destination, service level and any special handling requirements. Air freight is priced on chargeable weight (actual vs volumetric). Sea freight is priced per container (FCL) or cubic metre (LCL). Road freight is typically priced per pallet or per vehicle. We provide no-obligation quotes based on your specific shipment.

Sea freight may be priced by full container load, known as FCL, or less than container load, known as LCL.

Our qualified operators, trained drivers, warehouse staff and logistics partners help ensure hazardous cargo is handled in line with the relevant transport requirements: IATA regulations for air freight, IMDG rules for sea freight and ADR rules for road freight.
