The Government of Ghana will begin implementation of the Advanced Shipment Information (ASHI) on 1st March 2015.
Sea Freight to Ghana
The ASHI will provide Ghanaian ports with consignment information before the goods are due to arrive in the country.
The new ruling will mean that an ASHI document number will need to be shown on the bill of lading. Goods will not be released from Customs unless this number is present.
